Devi lost a gold chain in a textile shop. Constable Radhakrishnan contacted her and asked for full details about the chain. The owner was instructed to visit the police station the next morning. Accordingly, the chain was handed over to Devi in the presence of Police Inspector Pichaiyya.
Tirupur: Praise is pouring in for the police man who picked up the gold chain lying on the floor of a textile shop in Tirupur and handed it over to its owner.
Devi is from Vavipalayam in Tirupur and works as a private bond typist on Kumaran Road in Tirupur. She and her family went to a private textile shop on New Market Road in Tirupur to shop for the Deepavali festival on Saturday night. While shopping at the store, unexpectedly the 1.5 sovereign gold chain which she wore fell down. Devi, did not realize this, and left the store.
Coincidentally, Tirupur South police station Constable Radhakrishnan was at the same store to shop with his family. Radhakrishnan, the cop who saw the gold chain lying on the floor, gave the manager of the private shop his contact details and instructed the manager to put him in touch with anyone who enquires about the gold chain.
When Devi realized that her gold chain is missing she informed the manager of the private shop. Immediately, the textile shop manager alerted the policeman of Tirupur South police station. Later, Constable Radhakrishnan contacted Devi and asked for full details about the chain. On confirming that Devi is the owner of the chain, the policeman instructed her to visit the police station to collect her lost gold chain.
Accordingly, the chain was handed over to Devi in the presence of Police Inspector Pichaiyya.
