Police stopped and inspected two heavy vehicles which were loaded with rocks and cement respectively. A total of Rs. 58,000 was collected as fine, for carrying more than the permitted load from both the heavy vehicles.
Coimbatore: Police including Special Sub Inspector Sekaran of Kinathukadavu Police Station in Kallangattupudur area near Kinathukkadavu in Coimbatore District conducted a vehicle inspection today.
In the vehicle inspection, the team of police officials, stopped and inspected two heavy vehicles loaded with rocks and cement respectively. A thorough inspection brought to light that both the heavy vehicles were carrying and transporting more than the permitted load. Following this, the police confiscated two heavy vehicles, filed a case and fined the heavy vehicles.
While a fine of Rs. 35,000 was collected from the vehicle transporting rocks, the one that was carrying cement stones was fined Rs 23,000. A total fine of Rs 58,000 was collected from both the vehicles.
