Rain wrecks havoc, inconveniences public, hinders business in Kinathukadavu, Coimbatore

The flower vendors were affected in the Kinathukadavu here, as rain wrecked havoc, making it impossible for customers to visit the flower stalls. Contradictory the public enjoyed the climate and farmers were jubilant.


Coimbatore: The local vendors in the Kinathukadavu region were upset as the sudden downpour impacted their routine on Saturday.

As per the predictions of the Meteorological Department, selected cities in the Western Ghats, including Coimbatore and Nilgiris were anticipated to receive anywhere between heavy and very heavy rains due to atmospheric circulation and convection. Dark clouds were visible in Kinathukadavu since morning.



The area witnessed continuous rain this afternoon that disrupted the routine of the public here.



The flower vendors near the old bus stand, who had set up stalls on account of Saraswati pooja and ayudha pooja, stated that sale was not as anticipated as the rain dampened business this season.



Contradictory the public in the region enjoyed the climate as it brought in some respite from soaring temperature and the farmers were a jubilant lot.
