A grocery store owner and a teacher in a bus lost 7 sovereign jewels and 2 sovereign gold chains, an ATM card respectively to unidentified people
Coimbatore: The city police are on the hunt for unidentified persons who stole gold jewel and ATM card from two different women in Coimbatore.
A grocery store owner lost 7 sovereign jewel while an anonymous person posed to ask routes for an address. Another woman, a teacher who was traveling on the bus was robbed of a 2 sovereign chain and an ATM card.
Santhanam, 50, wife of Vetrivel,55 of Idayarpalayam 2nd street in Kuniyamuthur owns agrocery store. Two days back, while Santhanam was at the store two people who arrived on a bike snatched her 7 sovereign jewels. The duo fled the place as she made noise. Kuniyamuthur Police have registered a case and an investigation is being carried out.
Similarly, Gauri Manohari, 44, belongs to Ayyappan Kovil Street in Ramanathapuram, Coimbatore. She works as ateacher at a private school. On Thursday, she had arrived at Gandhipuram from Ramanathapuram and took a bus to Ganapati.
The miscreants on the bus abducted Gauri Manohari's purse. A 2 sovereign gold chain, an amount of ₹.2000, an ATM card. Gauri Manohari lodged a complaint with the Saravanampatti police. Police registered a case and are investigating.
