One person fell of the motorcycle and passed away despite treatment while the other dies as truck hits him
Coimbatore: Two people died in two individual road accidents in Coimbatore on Thursday.
Dharma, (37) of Sathya Colony, Vadavalli fell off his motorbike as the two-wheeler lost control. An injured Dharma was rushed to the government hospital by the public. Dharma who was treated at the Government Hospital succumbed to his injuries. Vadavalli police have registered a case in this regard. An investigation is being carried out.
In another road accident, a man died as a truck lost control and hit his two-wheeler. The accident took place in Settiplayam. Karthik, (33), son of Sadayappan of Settipalayam Oradukuppai, is a lorry driver by profession. Karthik along with his friends, Karthik, (24), son of Kuppuraj, and Manivasagam, (33) son of Manikandan were riding on a motorbike Vadachitoor from Settipalayam. A speeding truck lost control and hit Karthik’s bike. In the impact Karthik, (33), was killed on the spot and the two pillion riders were seriously injured. The bystanders rescued the other two people, Karthik and Manivasagam, and admitted them to the hospital. The Settipalayam Police, upon information, arrived at the accident spot.
They arrested the lorry driver and are questioning him. The accused is identified as Vignesh, (21), son of Sivalingam of Velandipalayam Pazhani Konar Street.
