The T23 tiger that killed four human beings and over 30 animals in Masinagudi was trapped this afternoon after 21 days of the hunt.

The T23 Tiger that had been nothing short of a nightmare for the people as it killed four people and over 30 cattle in Masinagudi and Gudalur, in Nilgiris was finally and successfully captured on the afternoon of October 15, (Friday) by the forest officials.
The wild cat dodged the multiple efforts of forest officials to capture it, the latest being escaping after it was administered a double anaesthesia shot last night.
The Forest department officials had difficulty in capturing the tiger as it kept moving from and fro between Gudalur and Masinagudi. Two days ago, T23 Tiger migrated to Gudalur Devan Estate, Nambikunnu area followed which it moved to the Masanakaudi forest last night.
The tiger was found lurking in the road near the Mudumalai forest check post area early this morning and an immediate search operation followed.
After six hours of intense efforts, the tiger was injected with an anaesthesia shot by the forest officials and it has been finally caged this afternoon.
The forest officials are in the process of bringing the tiger that haunted the people of Masinagudi and Gudalur locals.
