The Panchayat head's husband has been using unparliamentary language against the BJP general secretary, prompting the BJP party members to demand immediate action.

Coimbatore: BJP members submitted a complaint to the District Superintendent seeking action against the Ambarampalayam Panchayat president’s husband.

Led by Vasantha Rajan, President, Southern District, of the BJP, the members of the saffron party submitted a petition demanding action against the Ambarampalayam Panchayat head’s husband. The Panchayat Head belongs to DMK.

Vijayalakshmi Muruganantham, General Secretary of BJP South District Women's Wing of Anaimalai Union Ambarampalayam Vinayaka Kovil Road, in the petition stated, “I have been running the Public Service Centre of the Government of India at Ambarampalayam area of Meenkarai Road for the past 10 years. Also as the BC/PC Check of Canara Bank, I have been providing the OAP money to around 350 people in person. This is being provided to the elderly and physically challenged, door-to-door. For two months, the DMK Panchayat President's husband Faisal has been trying to intervene and stop the distribution of funds stating that BJP members shall not provide it.”

She also added that “the man slandered her in unparliamentary language and threatened to vacate my office. There is video evidence of him abusing me with foul language. I am deeply distressed by this.”

“Faisal's wife is in power and they are threatening me that no action can be taken against them. We, therefore, request you to take appropriate action against Faisal," the petition read.

Agriculture wing State Vice President Baba Ramesh, Muthuramalingam, Kumaresh, Anand, Govindarajan, Chandrashekhar, District Women's President Jayathilaka, and others were present when the petition was submitted.
