Widening the banks of the pond is carried out with more than ten vehicles continuously operating all day to bring the gravel in the interior of the Gothawadi pond to the bank of the Alli pond. Coimbatore: There is a 152 acre pond in Gothawadi area near Kinathukadavu in Coimbatore district.

Gothawadi Lake is currently dry. The Gothawadi Pond Conservation Organization, in collaboration with voluntary organizations, farmers, the public and the private sector, is removing the bushes in the lake on Sundays.
In addition, with the financial assistance of a private company to rehabilitate the banks and waterways in the pond, the work of repairing the waterway by JCB machine has been completed for the last 20 days.

Currently, work is in progress to raise the bank of the Gothawadi lake. The bank of the 910 meter long Gothawadi lake was already 12 feet wide and is currently being widened to 36 feet and work is underway to raise the bank to 30 feet.
