Coimbatore: The Minister of Information, M P Saminathan inaugurated a permanent photo exhibition hall set up at the District Collectorate in Coimbatore for the public to see the events of the Government.

Following that, the Fire and Disaster Prevention Team put on a display of Disaster Rescue Equipment on the occasion of International Disaster Reduction Day, on October 13.

The Minister of Information inaugurated the event and inspected the fire and disaster relief equipment.

Following the event, the Information Minister M P Saminathan briefed the media saying, "The victory in the rural local Government elections was a victory for the welfare schemes of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M K Stalin. This success in such a short period was a pleasant surprise. This victory was a huge success for the welfare schemes of the Chief Minister as a whole and for his assistance."
"We have set up an individual Commission as per the court order through which we have paved the way for resolving media issues. Work is currently underway. A committee headed by a retired judge would be set up to find and control fake journalists," he further added.

The event was attended by the Coimbatore District Collector, G S Sameeran, the Director of Information, Jayaseelan, the CCMC Commissioner and Special Officer, Raja Gopal Sunkara and MP P R Natarajan.
