Valparai: A huge tree was uprooted in Karumalai Estate near Balaji Temple road in Valparai due to heavy rains. Thus, traffic was disrupted for two hours on this route.
Last night Valparai experienced strong winds and heavy rainfall, that has caused the increased flow of water and flooding in Vellamalai tunnel waterfall, Nadumalai River. The forest department and the highways department cleared the roads. Commuters, especially students were impacted as they were unable to use the road until the debris was cleared.
