1155 camps will be conducted at the rate of three camps per region, 80 camps per corporation in urban areas, 4 camps per corporation per year in all districts of Tamil Nadu. 36 camps in rural areas in the Coimbatore district will be conducted.
Coimbatore: The flagship scheme of the DMK Government, the Varumun Kappom Scheme will restart in Coimbatore starting tomorrow, 12th October.The public shall access the camps organized in their respective areas.

The scheme is proposed to be implemented at a target of 1250 camps per annum and shall be conducted from 9 am to 4 pm on specified days in the respective areas. The camp will begin at the Corporation Middle School in the Chinnavedampatti area in Coimbatore on the 12th of October.
Ten specialists shall provide primary medical assistance to the public in diagnosing with General checkups, General Surgery Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Women's Health, Ophthalmology, ENT. Blood tests, ultrasound, ECG ECHO tests shall be conducted and the necessary medicines shall be provided free of cost. Continuous treatments if needed, further references will be provided and the public shall avail of the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme, in both private and government hospitals. Covid vaccines, exhibitions to elaborate on medicines other than Allopathy, and vaccinations for children will be provided in the camps.
The Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer demanded that the public benefit from the camps and prevent diseases. The scheme was relaunched in Salem on 29th September by the Hon'ble Chief Minister.
