Coimbatore: An elderly woman completely supportless, is selling Sukku Coffee in Coimbatore to feed her family.
Gurusamy of Madurai had been selling Sukku Coffee (Dry Ginger Coffee),in Range Gowdar Road for the past several years. He has two sons with visual impairment and a mentally challenged daughter. Guruswamy, fell ill with a stroke, that collapsed the family as he was the only breadwinner.
His daughter’s death last year added to the distress. Guruswamy's wife Saraswati, took up the Sukku Coffee business inorder to provide for her family and she has been the sole bread-winner. She sells Sukku coffee in the same place where her husband ran the shop. The business was hugely affected due to the pandemic and the family is in financial draught.
