Kinathukadavu police recovered the youth's body and sent it to the Pollachi Government Hospital by ambulance for autopsy.
Coimbatore: A youth from Dindigul was killed in the Kallangadupudur area next to Kinathukadavu when a speeding car hit his two-wheeler. Deepak (25) is the son of a Governrnment bus driver from Vedasandur taluk, Salaiyur area, Dindigul district and was working as a fitter in a private company in Malumichampatti near Coimbatore for the last two years.
Deepak who was riding a two-wheeler was hit by a speeding car when he was crossing the road in the Kallangadupudur area near Kinathukadavu. In the head-on collision, Deepak was thrown off his two-wheeler and died on the spot. Upon information, the Kinathukadavu police recovered Deepak's body and sent it to the Pollachi Government Hospital by ambulance for autopsy.
Later, when the police enquired about the driver of the car, it was revealed that the person was Dharmaraj (46) from Singanallur area of Coimbatore. He was travelling to Pollachi with his mother and wife, since his mother was unwell. It is reported that the occupants of the car sustained minor injuries in the head-on collision with Deepak's two-wheeler. The Kinathukadavu police have registered a case and are investigating the accident.
