The workers demand to shift the office to South zone office complex, as the temporary office’s distance concerns them
Coimbatore: The Sanitary workers requested to shift the office in ward 93 to the south zone office complex.
The 93rd ward office located at Kuniyamuthur Main Road near Vijayalakshmi Mill Stop has been temporarily operating at Sakthi Nagar due to administrative reasons, which has been adding a three-kilometer distance to the workers. The workers are concerned as they have to turn up to the office every day to sign before work. The location of the temporary office has no proper transport facility.
The sanitary workers requested a shift of office. According to the workers, 'The previous ward office had a bus facility and was convenient to arrive at 6 a.m. But there is no bus facility for the temporary office, which we have to cover by walk.
