Coimbatore: As per the orders of the District Superintendent of Police, SP Selvnagarathinam, police officials conducted an awareness drive in Thudiyalur and Vadakkipalayam police station limits on October 8.
Crimes against children and women, child marriage, effects of drug use, ragging etc were highlighted in the awareness drive.
The prevention of the above-mentioned crimes, POCSO, significance of installing CCTV cameras and road safety rules were emphasized as well, during the awareness drive.
The police officials highlighted the initiative ‘Vidiyal’ and insisted students approach them for assistance on mental health issues, addiction, fear etc by contacting them on 04222300999.
