Kalaiarasi, Crime Inspector in Coimbatore District Police has been suspended by the DIG of the Coimbatore Freight Police on charges of delaying the filing of cases against financial institutions.
Coimbatore: Kalaiarasi who was working as a Crime Inspector with the Coimbatore District Police was abruptly suspended on Thursday.
Kalaiarasi had been working as an Economic Crimes Division Inspector in the Coimbatore City Police force since last year. Complaints were then received against her for not filing reported cases against fraudulent financial institutions immediately, but filing cases too late and acting in favor of the perpetrators in the registered case.
A complaint was lodged thereafter with top police officials and the DIG of the Coimbatore Freight Police who conducted an inquiry into the matter, suspended Inspector Kalaiarasi on Thursday.
