Coimbatore: Manikandan (37), a lorry driver, is survived by his wife Padmavathi and two daughters Janani and Archana. It is alleged that Manikandan's wife Padmavati also had a love affair with Parthiban who lived in the same area. Padmavathi eloped with her illegal affair Parthiban a week ago.
Husband Manikandan, who was depressed after his wife eloped, left his daughters at his grandfather's house in Pollachi Vanjiyapuram area last night and returned to his house in Ne.10 Muthur area. Manikandan's brother Rangasamy, who grew suspicious as he did not leave his house since late this morning, went inside the house and it was revealed that Manikandan had committed suicide by hanging himself inside the house. Following this, the Kinathukadavu police were informed and the police went to the scene and recovered Manikandan's body and sent it to the Pollachi Government Hospital for an autopsy.
