Engagement between Yusuf Ali and Sultana was called off due to disagreements. Knowing about Sultana's marriage to another man, Yusuf sent morphed photos of Sultana to grooms family. Sultana lodged a complaint at the Madukkarai police station and the police are investigating the complaint.
Coimbatore: Jayaprakash (36) is the son of Pandi from Pappanaickenpalayam area of Tirupur. The taxi driver was standing in the Nanjundapuram area yesterday afternoon. An old man who was there at the time said that they had beautiful young women and that he could have fun with them if he paid. Following this, Jayaprakash pretended to leave to money and lodged a complaint at the Coimbatore Ramanathapuram police station.
Based on the complaint, the police led by Sub-Inspector Gunasekaran went to the place mentioned by Jayaprakash and found them standing there. Interrogations revealed that they were also involved in prostitution with three young women who were standing in the same area. They were taken to the police station and interrogated.
Palaniappan (55), son of Murugan from Periyakulam area of Theni district and Thurai (39) son of Raman from Thirumangalam area of Thiruvarur district were found to have acted as brokers and engaged in prostitution with young girls. A 27-year-old woman from Melur, Madurai, a 24-year-old woman from West Bengal and a 25-year-old woman from Karnataka, who were brought in for prostitution, were rescued and sent to homes. The two brokers were also arrested and imprisoned.
