The elderly man sexually harassed the Class 2 girl student after luring her while she was playing in the neighbourhood.
Coimbatore: One more case of a minor being sexually harassed in Coimbatore has surfaced. A 66-year old man was arrested under the POCSO Act for abducting and sexually harassing a Class 2 girl student.
Pazhani Sami, a daily wage laborer of Varampalayam in Periyanaickenpalayam area reportedly lured a Class 2 girl student playing outside in his neighbourhood and sexually harassed her. The fear-stricken child informed her parents of the incident.
The parents immediately lodged a complaint with the Thudiyalur All Women Police Station who launched a man-hunt to nab Pazhanisami under the POCSO Act and finally arrested him on Wednesday.
