Coimbatore: The city’s first customer centre under the Suez 24x7 drinking water scheme was recently inaugurated in the West Zone of the Coimbatore City Corporation limit. The centre is operational at the Corporation Tax Collection Centre located on Mettupalayam Road in R S Puram.

A few of the services that will be provided at the centre include guidance on how to apply for a new drinking water connection as well as guidance on how to make changes in the information that is furnished in the drinking water list. The staff at the centre will clarify users’ doubts about the need, process and fee on the 24x7 drinking water scheme.
The customer centre will also double up as a bill payment centre with facilities like mobile processors and automated machines that will allow customers to pay drinking water bills in cash or through cards. At the centre, customers’ can register their drinking water related grievances such as leaks in drinking water pipes, contaminated water and shortage of drinking water among others. The centre is operational from Monday to Saturday between 9am and 5pm.
