Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Rajagopal Sunkara said steps are being taken to send notices to large companies that have over Rs 1 crore in tax arrears. He warned that if they do not pay the tax appropriate steps will be taken.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Rajagopal Sunkara has said that notices will be sent to companies with tax arrears of over Rs 1 crore.
Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer Rajagopal Sunkara said rainwater harvesting structures have been set up at 400 places in collaboration with the private sector across the Corporation of Coimbatore.
The condition of these structures is currently being studied. Steps are being taken to send notices to large companies that have over Rs 1 crore in tax arrears. He warned that if they do not pay the tax the appropriate step will be taken. A case is also pending in the court regarding tax collection where corporation is allowed to take few decisions.
