Studying the treatments given under Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam Scheme, the Commissioner also visited the park construction works.
Coimbatore: The Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer Raja Gopal Sunkara IAS inspected the Urban Primary Health Centres in the North Zone, Coimbatore on Tuesday.

He studied the treatments undertaken for maternal and child health care, pregnant mothers, Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam’s treatments and the developmental works.

The Commissioner visited the PHCs at Ward 41, Gandhi Ma Nagar of Ganapathy, Ward 1 Thudiyalur Urban PHC.

He studied the treatments provided for pregnant mothers, vaccines given for maternal and child health care, the records updated in the Maternal and Child health care card, computerizing the records, assistance given for pregnant mothers under Dr.Muthulakshi Reddy Maternity Scheme, and the treatments under Siddha.

He later listened to the treatment methods under the Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam, flagship scheme of TN Government, the workings and implementations of it.

He further visited the ward 41, Vetri Vinayagar Nagar and inspected the construction of children’s park. The estimate of the park is around 40 lakh. The children’s park construction at the Raja Nagar was also inspected.

The commissioner directed the respective officials to ensure the cleanliness in the parks. Corporation Health Officer Satish Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of North Zone Mohanasundari, Assistant Executive Engineer Senthil Baskar, Regional Health Officer Ramachandran and Corporation Officials were present during the inspection.
