Last night Gnanprakasam was hit and run by a vehicle while he attempted to get across the road in Kovilpalayam, Coimbatore-Pollachi road.
Coimbatore: Two different accidents costed lives of two people in Pollachi.
Gnanparakasm, 58 belongs to Kaliappan pudhur in Pollachi. Last night Gnanprakasam was hit and run by a vehicle while he attempted to get across the road in Kovilpalayam, Coimbatore-Pollachi road. Public rescued him and was admitted to the Pollachi Government hospital. The doctors however declared him dead while he was brought to the hospital. Kinathukadavu Police have registered a case and are looking for the vehicle that hit Gnanaprakasam.
In a similar incident, Vadivel, 38 of Medu Valasu, Puliyampatti was hit by a lorry while he was riding in Pollachi-Palladam road. Vadivel succumbed on the spot. Mahalingapuram Police rushed to the spot and investigated the incident.
Vadivel’s corpse was forwarded to the Pollachi Government hospital for autopsy. Mahalingapuram Police have registered a case relating to the incident.
