Coimbatore District Forest Officer, Assistant Forest Ranger, WGWCT team and Polampatti Forest Department staff hosted the Wildlife Week Festival in Coimbatore from October 3.
Coimbatore: In celebration of the Wildlife Week Festival which kick-started on October 3 at the Coimbatore Wildlife Sanctuary, Polampatti Wildlife Sanctuary and Kovail Kutralam, several creative performances were the highlights of the Wildlife Week.
Traditional music and dance performances of the hill tribes, a pledge to 'Save the Forest,' Signing of the petition, Distribution of Awareness Leaflet, Save Tigers events and handing out sculpted masks to children were conducted by the District Forest Officer, Assistant Forest Ranger, WGWCT team and Polampatti Forest department staff.
All members of the public participated in the events in strict adherence to the Coronavirus guidelines as specified by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
The participants celebrated Wildlife Week with dance and music performances.
