Direct grievance meetings had been cancelled owing to the pandemic but the Government has now announced for grievance meetings to be held in person again.
Coimbatore: For the first time since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, a public grievance meeting is being held at the Coimbatore District Collectorate on Monday.
During the pandemic period, as a precautionary measure, the Government had ordered the cancellation of all public grievance meetings and farmers' grievance meetings in the districts. The Grievance Meetings were conducted through video conferencing.
The Government has now ordered that all Grievance Meetings will be held in person, again. Accordingly, a public grievance meeting will be scheduled every Monday at 10 am at the District Collector's office in Coimbatore. District Collector G S Sameeran stated, "The public can participate in Grievance Meetings by adhering to the Coronavirus Prevention Guidelines. The telephone number should be mentioned in the petition. Social distancing and wearing of face masks is a must."
