Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer Raja Gopal Sunkara flagged off the Cyclothon program at Diwan Bahadur Road under the Smart City Project to commemorate the 75th Independence Day of the Corporation of Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer Raja Gopal Sunkara today flagged off the Cyclothon program on Diwan Bahadur Road on 03.10.2021 to commemorate the 75th Independence Day of the Corporation of Coimbatore.
In order to improve non-motor vehicle traffic under the Coimbatore Corporation's Smart City Project, Cyclothon cycling started near the RS Puram DB Road Post Office and proceeded to Brookfield Field Road, Racecourse Road, Valankulam, Selva Chintamani kulam and all the ponds. After traveling a distance of 22km, they reached the RS Puram DB Road again.
The Corporation Commissioner also rode his bicycle during the event. The Yogasana program followed.
Following this, Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer Raja Gopal Sunkara presented certificates of appreciation to the 200 cyclists who participated in the Cyclothon event and expressed his appreciation. The event was attended by Smart City Director Dr. Rajakumar, Assistant Process Engineers Hemalatha, Prabhakaran, Corporation officials and the public.
