In three different incidents in Coimbatore jewellery and cash was stolen. The continuous robbery cases in Coimbatore has made public pani in fear. Police have registered cases and looking for unidentified persons involved in the robbery
Coimbatore: Ganesan is from Kumaran Nagar near Saravanampatti in Coimbatore and his wife Deepa is 39 years old and a labourer. He locked his house yesterdayand went to his hometown Pudukkottai.
Unidentified persons then broke down the door of his house and opened the wardrobe in the room and looted the 8 sovereign jewellery and Rs 35,000 cash including the necklace, earring, hand chain, ring. When Deepa returned home, she was shocked to find that her jewellery and money had been looted.
She later lodged a complaint with the police. Police rushed to the spot and conducted an investigation into the complaint. Saravanampatti police have registered a case and are searching for the unidentified person who looted the jewellery and money.
Similarly, Devaraj, 41,MGR nagar near Mettupalayam is a fisherman. The day before yesterday, Devaraj locked his house and went to Tirupur. He left the keys at the grocery store run by his wife. Taking the key, the unidentified person opened the door of Devarajan's house and went inside. He then opened the wardrobe in the living room and looted 5 sovereigns of jewellery, including a chain and earring. When Devaraj returned home, he was shocked to find the door open. A search of the house revealed that the jewellery had been looted. He lodged a complaint with the Mettupalayam police. Police have registered a case and arrested Pradeep 30, a resident of Veerapandi near Periyanaickenpalayam, for looting jewellery. He was later produced in court and remanded in custody.
Prince Joseph, 41, of Ganapathy, runs an electrical shop on Nanjappa Road. Yesterday he locked his shop as usual and left. unidentified persons broke the shutters of the shop at midnight and looted Rs. 6,000 cash and pan card from the cash counter. France Joseph reported the matter to the police. Police have registered a case and are looking for the unidentified person who robbed him.
