Farmers were complaining that miscreants were stealing roosters reared in agricultural plantations at Mettuvavi, Vadachittur and Vellekoundanpudhur areas in Kinathukadavu.
Coimbatore: Continuous complaints raised stating roosters being stolen from farm lands in Kinathukadavu region.
Three men were caught in an attempt today and the farmers beat them up. Farmers were complaining that miscreants were stealing roosters reared in agricultural plantations at Mettuvavi, Vadachittur and Vellekoundanpudhur areas in Kinathukadavu. The farmers caught youngsters who tried to run away with roosters from a Bhoopalan’s farm.
The three youths were chased for nearly three kilometers and were brutally hit. Later they were handed over to the Negamam police who arrived at the spot. Preliminary investigations revealed that the youths involved in the theft were from Cheripalayam area.
