As part of the celebration, an awareness video highlighting the importance of forests and wildlife was released and telecasted to the school students in Udumalpet, Tirupur on the first day of wildlife week.
The event was inaugurated by the District Forest officer and ATR Deputy Director Thejaswi.
Assistant Conservator of Forests Ganeshram, Forest rangers Dhanapalan, Suresh, Mahesh, and school children were also present on the occasion. Various programs are to be conducted throughout the upcoming week. Online essay and painting competitions are being conducted for school and college students.
