Coimbatore: A camp was held in Kinathukadavu on Friday in which beneficiaries eligible for the provision of support equipment for the differently-abled were selected.
The camp was held at the Government Primary School on behalf of Alinco, the public sector of Central Government and the Coimbatore District Administration.

Differently-abled Persons Welfare Officer, Vasanth Kumar headed the camp and Coimbatore District East DMK Responsibility Committee Mmber, Kurichi Prabhakaran and DMK District In-charge, Marudhamalai Senathipathi were present.

Petitions were received from more than 100 differently-abled people, and doctors specialising ineye, ear, limbs and brain development evaluated those eligible to be beneficiaries of the support equipment.
The camp was attended by the Kinathukadavu Tahsildar Sasirekha, Kinathukadavu Panchayat Union Commissioner, Ganesan and Regional Development Officer, Vivekanandan. Former Kinathukadavu Town Panchayat President Kadirvel, DMK Apex Corporation spokesman Tamilpithan, Kinathukadavu City Secretary Kanakaraj and DMK Women's Wing District Convenor, Shakti Saranya were also present at the inauguration of the camp.
Camp organizers stated that plans are afoot to ensure that those selected as eligible candidates will receive the equipment from the Coimbatore District Collector, G S Sameeran.
