The TN Govt. granted permission to hold Grama Sabha meetings on Gandhi's birth anniversary on October 2, following relaxations that were announced on Wednesday.
Coimbatore: The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M K Stalin ordered an extension of lockdown in the State till October 31, with a few more relaxations being announced on Wednesday.
In a statement released by the Chief Minister M K Stalin, permission has been granted to hold a farmers' grievance meeting on Mondays at the District Collectorates. It was announced on Monday that Public Grievance Redressal Day and monthly Farmers Grievance Meetings would be allowed.
Several political parties had demanded that Grama Sabha meetings be allowed to take place as Grama Sabha meetings have not been held for more than a year due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The Tamil Nadu Government has now granted permission to hold Grama Sabha meetings on Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary, on October 2.
Accordingly, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M K Stalin is scheduled to participate in the Grama Sabha meeting to be held on October 2 in the Pappampatti panchayat of Madurai district.
