Coimbatore: Two men approached a woman in Sowripalayam, Coimbatore, pretending to ask her for directions and escaped after snatching her two-and-a-half sovereign gold chain from her.
Renny Mathew (53) lives in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Sowripalayam in Coimbatore. Two men stopped her while she was heading back home near GV Residency pretending to ask her for directions to an address. The duo snatched her chain in the blink of an eye, when she bent down to pick up a piece of paper that they had deliberately dropped. The men reportedly fled the spot, immediately.
Renny Mathew lodged a complaint at a police station. CCTV footage is being reviewed to identify the miscreants.
