The Chennai Union of Journalists strongly condemns BJP leader H.Raja for his continuous slander on Tamil media.
Chennai: The Chennai Union of Journalists has strongly condemned BJP's H. Raja for his derogatory remarks on Tamil media, during an interaction with the press on September 27, 2021.
Addressing the media after the preview of the Tamil film "Ruthrathandavam" at Prasad Cine Lab in Chennai, H. Raja castigated the media for implying Tamils were not Hindus. He also strongly condemned the media as “Presstitutes".
Condemning the slander against the media, V. Anbazhagan, President of Chennai Union of Journalists has issued a statement alleging H.Raja as a serial offender in this regard and has tried to browbeat the media in Tamil Nadu.
"His efforts have met with little success and this has only enraged him further. Completely marginalized by his party and facing political irrelevance, he has repeatedly tried to grab the limelight by speaking of the media in a disparaging manner. His party is using him as an attack dog to cow down the media in Tamil Nadu and turn them into lapdogs as in other states
The Chennai Union of Journalists strongly condemns H.Raja and also would like to remind the BJP that repeated attacks in this manner would only strengthen our resolve to oppose the party and its anti democratic policies", the release noted.
