Crater in Valparai football ground poses threat to public

Unfinished renovation of football ground in Valparai leaves gaping hole due to heavy rains

Valparai: The Corporation football ground in Kakkan Colony in Valparai has an almost two-feet long crater that poses a threat to people visiting the ground.

The football ground which was renovated recently, was left unfinished. Due to the continuous heavy rains in Valparai on Monday, a gaping hole appeared in the ground near the fence, which is a common space between the ground and the pavement for the public.

It is reported that the crater could uproot a 16-foot wall, if left unattended. Hence, the public has urged the Valparai administration to do the needful immediately.
