All Central Trade Unions stage sit-in protest in front of Tirupur Railway Station against Central Government

Police arrested more than 500 people, including women involved in the protest.


Tirupur: The Central Trade Unions, including the LPF, CITU, AITUC and INTUC have come out in protest against the Central Government demanding the repeal of the Agricultural Amendment Bill and the repeal of the Labour Welfare Amendment Bill.



Trade unions chanted slogans against the Central Government as they staged a sit-in protest at the entrance of the railway station amidst heavy police security.



Police later arrested over 500 protesters, including women.
