Coimbatore District Tourism Department organized the visit to Isha Yoga Centre for elders in old age homes on World Tourism Day.
Coimbatore: On the occasion of World Tourism Day, 60 elderly living in old age homes were taken to visit the Adiyogi statue at the Isha Yoga Centre, in Coimbatore.
Various events are conducted annually on World Tourism Day on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Tourism Department. This year, about 60 of the elderly people living at the Government’s destitute old age home were taken on a one-day tour. As part of the tour, they visited Isha, one of the main spiritual places for Hindus in Coimbatore. They were taken to Dhyanalinga and the Linga Bhairavi temple. The tour was jointly organized by the Coimbatore District Tourism Department and Skal Club (56.0).
