HQSNC, A&EHU, join with CODISSIA in the production of naval defense equipment.
Coimbatore: A tripartite consultative meeting between the Coimbatore Naval Aviation, Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (CODISSIA) and Tribal Contact was held at the INS Agrani on Monday.
The meeting confirmed the 2017-2022 road-map on production of Indian Navy equipment within India. The meeting also involved the discussion on making the LRU flights and ships automatic and self-dependent
Indian Navy and Navy aviation has adopted a wide range of strategies to improve production of navy equipment in India and qualified engineers and producers were identified during the meet.
A session of contact meeting with The Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (CODISSIA) and local industries was held around Coimbatore on 27 September 2021 at INS Agrani to ensure that Indian navy and naval aircraft equipment as mentioned in the Tribalization Road Map 2017-22. The event was organised by the aircraft and engine holding unit under INS Agrani and HQSNC. The contact session was presided over by Commander Yogesh Pandey, Superintendent Navy Aircraft Yard. Officer CDRE David addressed the gathering on the occasion.
More than 100 industries and traders from around Coimbatore district participated in the discussion. Potential vendors were identified in the aviation and maritime engineering industry.
More than 250 varieties of equipment used by vendors for technologies such as repair capacity and underground handling equipment were displayed for the attendees in the meeting. The meeting aims to bring in ₹.25 crore worth trade for India.
