Individual tries to seize houses claiming that he owns the land
Coimbatore: A petition was submitted to the District Collector of Coimbatore today by the Arunthathiyar Group.
It was stated in the petition that an individual is trying to confiscate their houses, build during the ruling of M.Karunanidhi, ex-chief minister.
The individual posed threats to the residents in the area stating that the houses are built in the lands belonging to him. He has indulged government officials to threaten them into giving up their houses.
A copy of the petition has been sent to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Minister for Adi Dravidar Welfare, Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board, Coimbatore, and Commissioner of Police.
