4 women rescued, one arrested after the building owner lodges complaint at th Sulur police station
Coimbatore: A prostitution racket was busted in Sulur area of Coimbatore district after a complex owner registers complaint under suspiscions.
Navaneethakrishnan, 38 of Sulur Kannampalayam owns a private building in Ravuthar Division. Karthik, aged 26 rented the building for opening a beauty salon.
However, Navaneethakrishnan witnessed men visiting the salon behaving abnormally. After investing them, it was revealed that Karthik had been involved in sex trafficking in the salon with 4 women.
Navaneethakrishnan lodged a complaint at the Sulur police station, who busted the racket and arrested Karthik. A 27-year-old woman from Puducherry, a 33-year-old woman from Tirupur, a 26-year-old from Kolkata, and a 27-year-old woman from Tiruvannamalai were rescued.
Locals in the area have demanded serious actions to stop further illegal activities
