Candidate with hearing impairment, chooses question paper in Tamil, gets 750th rank on national level
Coimbatore: Ranjith from Peelamedu, Coimbatore ranked 750th in the UPSC exams by appearing for the exam in Tamil. Chief Minister and various others shower wish for Ranjith.
Ranjith is a Mechanical Engineer who graduated from PSG College of Technology in the year 2016. Denied by corporate biggies due to his hearing impairment for jobs, Ranjith started preparing for UPSC exams. Ranjith attended a school where his mother exclusively graduated B.Ed to support his education.

Ranjith has always found the Tamil language easier to study, which led him to choose the Tamil medium for his exam. Ranjith’s parents thanked Tamil Professor Bharathi of PSG college who trained Ranjith to appear for exams. Ranjith expressed his gratitude to family and friends for showing support throughout.
Ranjith has an elder brother who practices medicine in Chennai. Ranjith’s parents Dharmalingam and Amritavalli expressed gratitude as Ranjith is the first to clear UPSC exams from their families
