Coimbatore: Former DMK MLA N. Karthik of Singanallur Constituency has expressed his gratitude to the State government and the State Highways Ministerfor considering approval of funds for construction of the railway flyover at Coimbatore's SIHS colony in Singanallur.
The former MLA in a statement recalled the plight of the people of the area who have been waiting for a decade for the construction of a flyover. A budget of Rs. 29.37 crore has been allotted for the flyover works, according to a recentannouncement made by State Highways Minister E.V. Velu.
District DMK Incharge and Former MLA N. Karthik stated that a slew of protests and petitions for constructing the flyover was carried by DMK and allied parties and social activists in the past.
