Coimbatore: 'Sukashini,' a rehabilitation camp was held at the Police Training Academy on Friday.
The camp was headed by the District Superintendent of Police, S Selvanagarathinam and Superintendent of Police, Prevention of Crimes against Women and Children, V Jeyashri.
Youth between the age of 18 and 21 who were involved in serious crimes participated in the camp.
Addressing the attendees at the camp, the SP stated that one cannot blame situations for commiting any kind of crime, big or small. He advised the youth to concentrate on their family, education and building a career, and not to get involved any more in any illegal activity.
The educational qualifications of the criminals were collected at the camp. SP Selvanagaratnam stated that police officers will be available anytime if they need any kind of help.
Around 100 people were present at the camp.
