Investigations revealed that the woman irritated by the child killed him by stuffing wrappers in his mouth in a fit of rage. Mother of the child filed complaint on her mother who was taking care of the child.
Coimbatore: An elderly woman was arrested in RS Puram today for allegedly murdering year old grandson by stuffing biscuit wrapper in his mouth.
Nandhini, 24 recently separated from her husband Nithyanandham was living at her mother’s house with her one-year-old. She left for work as usual leaving the child to her mother. Nandhini found the baby unconscious and wrappers in his mouth while checking up on him after work.
She rushed to the hospital, unfortunately, the baby was declared dead by the doctors. She immediately lodged a complaint with the RS Puram police station. She has also declared that she left her mother in charge of taking care of the child.
