Coimbatore: In Coimbatore, in 2018, 5 people got into a dispute with a worker who was standing on the way to Tasmac asking for drinking water.

For this, he had a 'party' with his friends Manikandan, 23, Anandaraj, 24, Naveen Kumar, 27, and Sasimohan, 26. On Aug. 22, 2018, five people were found drunk in Tasmac. At that time, Babu, 45, a labourer from Singanallur, SIHS Colony, was standing near the road. They asked him for some water to drink.
Babu refused to give it and a dispute arose. The five together attacked Babu and stabbed him to death. They snatched his mobile phone and money from him and escaped. Peelamedu police investigated and arrested the five and filed a case in the Coimbatore First Additional Sessions Court.
