Inebriated man arrested for threatening to kill his parents in Kinathukadavu

Abusive inebriated son threatens to kill parents with sickle.


Coimbatore: Selvaraj, a resident of Kinathukadavu who was inebriated, reportedly threatened to kill his parents with a sickle.

Magali (73), a labourer from Muthukaundanur near Kinathukadavu lives with his wife Sarasal (60). They have a 43-year old son, Selvaraj and daughter Muthulakshmi (33). Selvaraj is a daily wage worker and lives with his wife in the same area. Selvaraj, who is an alcoholic reportedly indulged in verbal abuse regularly. A week ago, Selvaraj tried to kill his parents being under the influence of alcohol.

On a complaint filed by the father Magali, Kinathukadavu Police Inspector, Senthil Kumar registered a case and arrested Selvaraj on the complaint filed of threatening to kill his parents.
