Tip-off leads police patrol squad to arrest drug peddlers in Ukkadam region.
Coimbatore: Even as illegal sale of drugs, sedative pills and liquor has been on the rise in Coimbatore, two men were arrested by the special police squads who were patrolling the Ukkadam region.
Two men were arrested after a mysterious tip-off to the police special squads that they patrolling the Ukkadam region in Coimbatore. They were informed that there was illegal sale of pain killers targeting college students in the Coimbatore region.
Upon receiving the information, a squad headed by Senthil Kumar, the Sub-Inspector of Police rushed to the spot and nabbed Yaser Rawat (23) of Yaser Front, Rizwan (23) of Karumbukkadai. Investigations revealed that pain killers were being illegally stocked and sold to the college students. Sedative pills and injections were confiscated from the two men who were caught.
