The Track Force Sports Club (TFSC), the sports arm of SIO, the Indian student Islamic organization has been providing free training to athletes who have been disadvantaged in the community for more than 20 years.
Coimbatore: The inaugural ceremony of the training ground for athletes was held today in the Azad Nagar area of Coimbatore by the Track Force Sports Club (TFSC), the sports arm of SIO, the Indian student Islamic organization. TFSC has been providing free training to athletes who have been disadvantaged in the community for more than 20 years and grooming them to participate in state and national level teams.
On the occasion, the Coimbatore Municipal Commissioner of Police, Deepak Damore inaugurated the ground. The event was presided over by SIO Coimbatore District Chairman, Comrade Mohammad Ashik.
DMK Coimbatore District Secretary and ex-MLA, N Karthik, Ratnam Group Chairman Dr. Madan (A) Senthil, Chennai Mobiles owner Sams Ali and India Student Islamic Organization Tamil Nadu President (SIO) Sabeer Ahmed were also present at the event. Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Coimbatore Mayor, Omar Farooq, Jamaat Secretary M Abdul Hakeem and SA vegetable owner SA Bashir were the special guests on the occasion. TFSC Tamil Nadu Commissioner Sago Sultan proposed the vote of thanks at the end of the event. Students were presented with prizes and scholarships at the event.
