Coimbatore: More than 100 people from the Karamadai area of Coimbatore today filed a petition at the District Collector's Office seeking cancellation of the patta.

The petition stated, 'Patta was issued to 91 families by the Coimbatore District Adi Dravidar Welfare Department in Ettappan town under Karamadai Municipality. Money laundering has been done for a huge amount. They have deceived people by selling their house bonds to other people. We have already submitted petitions to the District Collector for the 10th week in a row by more than 200 people from villages including Kannarpalayam, Shastri Nagar, Kaikattipudur and Karupparayar Nagar. But so far the district administration has not investigated and canceled the illegally issued pattas.'
The petition has now been filed again and they have urged that appropriate action should be taken on this petition.
