BJP State President Annamalai also suggested that the DMK Government could reduce petrol and diesel prices by bringing it under GST.
Coimbatore: Members of various parties joined BJP to meet in Coimbatore on Monday.
While briefing the media, the BJP State President Annamalai told reporters that while various public services were being held in Coimbatore on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, the Coimbatore City Police had pulled down the PM's birthday poster, and behaving like a DMK mercenary.
"The BJP is deeply saddened by the death of students in connection with the NEET exam. The cause for student deaths stems from the DMK's assurance that NEET exam would not be held. It is the DMK that is misusing the NEET exam for political reasons as NEET was an option that could uphold social justice," slammed the BJP State President. "DMK also has a role to play in petrol and diesel prices. The State Government should give its approval to bring petrol and diesel prices under GST," he suggested.
"The BJP's current alliance in the local body elections and the seats would be decided by September 22. There is nothing wrong with Edappadi Palanisamy saying that local elections should be held on the same date. AIADMK executives blame the raids in AIADMK leaders' houses as DMK's vengeance," he added.
