Valparai DMK in-charge Palpandi and 10th Ward Councilors Selvam and Krishnamurthy Nallathambi urged the forest department to stop the elephants from entering the residential areas and consoled residents harmed by the elephants.
Coimbatore: Wild elephant movement is on the rise in Valparai area of Coimbatore district. 3 wild elephants roamed around the area in the Ediyar Estate area near Valparai.

Elephants entered the residential area at night and broke the window and door of Selvi's house in the estate and the local ration shop.
